Can I share something really personal with you?
When my mother found out she was pregnant with me she panicked. As a single mother of one who was also an alcoholic and a prostitute, who also suffered from deep depression, my mother felt the only option at that time was to abort me by drinking turpentine and whiskey.
After throwing up blood for hours, she was rushed to the hospital, where the doctor said, "It's not likely the baby will survive but if she does, there is a huge chance there will be mental damage and major health challenges." My mother then prayed for my life
with great remorse.
Months later, I was born completely healthy where the doctor declared, "This is a miracle."
Rejected before birth.
A declared miracle.
